Conclusion:
Our study suggests that continuous monitoring of SV may be more useful than either the HR, BP, or shock index in identifying patients with early acute blood loss. As an operator-independent, point-of-care, and easy-to-use technology, the SV whole body bio-impedance measurement may serve as an important tool when monitoring a potentially bleeding patient or performing casualty triage.
